From humble beginnings…
From the beginning, Topsource has embraced the core concept of “doing it better” than the competition. Our journey to being one of top countertop companies in Virginia started small, with humble roots that we embrace and honor to this day.
Early
2019
Edwin and Faro meet for the first time at the countertop shop Edwin was working at. We notice we both have an accent. Edwin’s from Queens (NYC) and Faro’s from Brooklyn (NYC).
With 12+ years of experience in the countertop industry, they decide that they “can do better” than many of the countertop shops currently in business in the central Virginia region and set out to create Topsource Surface Creations.
Late
2019
In the meantime, Topsource (Edwin and Faro) utilized the resources of a buddies’ fabrication shop and their own installation truck to complete client projects for contractors and builders. All the while gaining critical experience and familiarity working on all facets of the business together.
After a few months of hard work, they were finally able to purchase their own saw and equipment to officially have Topsource fully operational!
Early
2020
The great COVID lockdown hit the world, and things were a bit uncertain for a while. But as people started spending more time at home, they wanted their kitchens to reflect their personalities and create a more inviting and beautiful space to enjoy.
So while the world was on lockdown, Topsource was busy installing new counters for happy clients, making many friends along the way.
Mid
2022
Fast forward… 2 Full Years to April 2022 and Topsource had generated over $1.5 Million in revenue from over 500 completed projects for builders, contractors, and homeowners.
Edwin and Faro had remained agile and small to cater to each client’s specific project needs and were able to amass many loyal repeat contractor clients and many new referral homeowner clients.
2023
…AND BEYOND
Focused on “doing it better” than their competition, Topsource has continued a commitment to quality and service. From investing in new equipment to create the cleanest cuts, to partnering with Mark Harold of Designer Tile and Marble of Midlothian to expand their offerings, Topsource has never lost sight of its roots and humble beginnings. Even with continued growth throughout the years, Faro and Edwin continue to focus on quality and maintaining their moto of being the “nicest guys in countertops.”
