Process + Materials FAQs

  • Countertop installations of a 40 Square foot size (average sized kitchen) last approximately 2 hours. This is from the time our Certified Installer arrives to the time he is driving away from your home.

Other factors regarding your project may extend that time – these factors include: removal of the existing countertop material, verifying cabinet structure and adding bracing (if necessary), making specialty cuts on-site due to complex layouts and/or special details.

  • Yes! But we must start talking about the details of your project at least 12 days before you need it installed. If we’re in/around that 12-day window, contact us NOW!

  • If we installed the countertop in your home, we will review your request for an out-of-warranty repair (chip repair, scratch repair…etc), or modification service (change sink opening size, move/remove, add a core hole…etc)

As a rule, we do not perform any services on countertops installed by others. Therefore, we are unable to fix, repair, cutdown, make holes, or modify countertops in your home if they were installed by another company or person.

  • Absolutey! If you have other Pros involved with your project, simply let us know during our initial conversation and we’ll ensure to capture their details along with your preference for their involvement with the countertop/surfaces part of the project.

Ultimately there will be required interactions between those parties and our processes and we will engage with you to help you and them to prepare for those moments!

  • This is the most common question we receive, and the answer is simply – IT DEPENDS. We have you covered though!! We wrote a detailed article on what may be better for your lifestyle and we even have a countertop material quiz to help you find what may be better for your needs overall!

  • YES! We love when our clients come to us early in the design process so we can help them to determine how their layout decisions affect their countertop/surfaces options (based on budget or design constraints). Our motto is – early and often.

Speak with us before you finalize your new design plans and update us if/when you’re considering making changes to it.

Our pre-project design consultations are complimentary and some of the best time we can spend together on your project!

  • If you have concerns that the integrity of your cabinets may be an issue to support stone countertops – simply let us know when you reach out to us for the first time. We will note your concern and review your cabinets ourselves during our home visit to assess the size and layout of your cabinets.

This information may help you worry a bit less. Over the thousands of countertops installations we have completed, we have only found a handful of cabinet layouts that required bracing in some areas to meet the industry recommended support criteria.

In short, when the issue has arose, we were able to address it on installation day and its something we do complimentary to protect our hard work and your investment.

  • We offer a Limited 10-Year Craftsmanship Warranty. It is considered Limited because the law requires us to list the limitations of the warranty. There are some limitations – like the warranty is not transferable to new owners if you sell your home. There are just a few limitations and we go fully in depth in layman’s terms on our Warranty page.

Regarding material warranties - as a certified fabricator and installer – we extend to you the manufacturer warranties for our engineered stone products such as Quartz and Dekton. These warranties range from 25 Years to Lifetime. More information can be found on our Warranty page.

All natural stone products that we install are without a material warranty from defects now or in the near or distant future.

In general, a countertop project can take approximately 12 business days to fully mature from the day you first contact us. (The installation itself may take as little as 2 hours to complete).

During those 12 business days a couple of things are happening such as your reviewing material options, we’re receiving the stone of your choice that’s being delivered to us, and then we’re making your project to order.
